The É COMO É project counted with the financial support of the Active Citizens program, under the EEAGrants financial mechanism, having as promoter the Academy of Cultural Producers, in partnership with the associations ANDO Portugal and ACSS-Raquel Lombardi, also counting with the support of local municipalities.
This program aims to strengthen civil society and active citizenship and to empower vulnerable groups, and its goal is to empower children for physical disability through art.
During the 2020/21 school year, the main recipients of É COMO É were around 400 2nd grade children, aged between 7 and 8 years old. However, it also covers the entire school community, as well as the students’ families. These students belong to 16 schools from Evora, Funchal and Câmara de Lobos. The project culminated with the presentation of an ebook on diversity created from scratch under the project in December 2022.
