The MARGENS project started on February 3, 2014 and aims to provide specific informal training in the field of performing arts, as well as skills training in the areas of creativity, organization and artistic production, to a group of men who use the Albergue Nocturno de Lisboa. The project has the overall tutorship of Madalena Victorino and is funded by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation under the Partis program. The reason for being of Margens was born within the scope of the last edition of the TODOS-Caminhada de Culturas festival, now installed in the territory of Rua de São Bento and Poço dos Negros.
